This is not basic commercial HVAC - this is industrialscale, highstakes equipment that keeps our operations moving 24/7.If you're the kind of technician who loves solving complex problems, understands how chillers think, and can pipe, plumb, and troubleshoot with confidence - you'll fit right in.What You'll Do:Maintain, repair, and optimize industrial HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, RTUs, and plant-wide ventilation systemsInstall, inspect, and service industrial piping systems- steam, process water, chilled water, compressed air, and chemical-resistant linesSafely execute repairs, upgrades, and fixture replacements across the facilityPerform preventive and predictive maintenance to keep equipment at peak reliabilityDiagnose root causes on mechanical, electrical, and control componentsCollaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to support continuous improvement and maximum equipment uptimeRespond to plant needs with urgency, accuracy, and a solutions-first mindsetSupport chillers and auxiliary systems during startups, shutdowns, and seasonal transitionsWork hands-on with boilers, pumps, valves, blowers, and industrial ventilation systemsMaintain impeccable documentation - you know your work matters to reliability, safety, and auditsWhat You Bring5 years of Industrial HVAC experience- manufacturing, chemical, aerospace, or largescale utilities environment preferredProven ability working with:ChillersCooling towersHeat exchangersHigh-tonnage refrigerationIndustrial ventilation systemsPlumbing or Pipefitter licensestrongly preferred (we love multiskilled technicians)Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, and equipment schematicsMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting instinct - you don't guess, you diagnoseExperience in lockout/tagout, safety procedures, and working within regulated industrial environmentsForklift experience a plusWhy You'll Love It HereDecatur's maintenance team is known for stability, low turnover, and strong technical talent.You'll have the chance to:Work with advanced equipmentBring your craftsmanship to a high-tech manufacturing environmentBe part of a skilled, respected teamMake a visible impact every single dayEligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
