Low Voltage Technician-CCTV/Access Control/Security Systems

Job Description We are hiring an experienced Low Voltage Technician / Security Systems Technician to install and service CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Systems in commercial environments. The Low Voltage Technician will perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic security systems, including IP cameras, access control panels, and network security devices. This position is ideal for a Security Systems Technician or CCTV Technician with experience in structured cabling, IP cameras, and access control systems. Responsibilities The Low Voltage Technician will: * Install and service CCTV systems and IP cameras * Install and configure Access Control Systems * Install and troubleshoot Intrusion / Alarm Systems * Install structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Fiber) * Terminate and test low voltage cables * Configure IP addressable security devices * Troubleshoot network video recorders (NVR) and security systems * Read and interpret blueprints and system diagrams * Perform system testing and commissioning * Coordinate installation with other trades on construction sites * Maintain service documentation and reports * Train customers on the operation of installed systems Required Experience * 3+ years experience as a Low Voltage Technician * Experience installing CCTV / Video Surveillance * Experience installing Access Control Systems * Experience installing Security Cameras or Alarm Systems * Experience with structured cabling (Cat5e / Cat6 / Fiber) * Knowledge of TCP/IP networking * Experience configuring IP cameras or NVR systems * Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings * Valid Driver's License Preferred Experience Experience with leading security platforms such as: * Axis Communications * Avigilon * Genetec * LenelS2 Experience with commercial security systems installation is highly preferred.
