Senior UI Engineer Angular

About the roleWe are seeking a Senior UI Engineer - Angular with strong expertise in Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. In this role, you will design and develop scalable, responsive web applications, integrate REST APIs, and build production‐ready UI components that meet performance, accessibility, and cross‐browser standards. You will collaborate closely with UX, product, backend, and QA teams within an Agile/Scrum environment.This role also includes responsibilities across CI/CD automation, release management, production support, and mentoring junior engineers. You will work with modern tooling such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift, Google Cloud, and various monitoring solutions while delivering high‐quality, maintainable solutions aligned with business goals.In this role, you will:Develop and maintain responsive, scalable web applications using Angular, transforming Figma designs into pixel‐perfect, production‐ready UI components.Build reusable and modular Angular components aligned with UI/UX standards, accessibility guidelines, and responsive design best practices.Integrate REST APIs and collaborate with UX designers, product owners, backend engineers, and QA teams in an Agile (Jira) environment to deliver new features and enhancements.Optimize performance, ensure cross‐browser compatibility, troubleshoot UI defects, and reduce technical debt.Use GitHub and GitHub Copilot for development, refactoring, and workflow acceleration.Develop and maintain unit tests using Jasmine and Karma, improving quality and test coverage.Create reusable templates, documentation, and AI‐assisted workflows to enhance developer productivity and maintainability.Lead daily standups to track progress, remove blockers, and coordinate cross‐team dependencies.Contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives by estimating stories and participating in scope discussions.Demonstrate major and minor release rollouts to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and visibility.Manage feature prioritization and bug triage in Jira to support efficient sprint execution.Provide after‐hours production support, diagnosing and resolving critical issues during releases.Work model:At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, and we are committed to supporting a healthy work‐life balance through our wellbeing programs.
