Data Center Project ManagerContract$35-$40/hr (DOE)Onsite across Northern VirginiaWe are seeking a Data Center Project Manager to oversee mission-critical infrastructure projects at our Fortune 10 Hyperscale Cloud Services client's data centers throughout the Northern Virginia region.Operating at the engagement level, the Project Manager manages the full scope of project delivery across multiple active sites while serving as the primary link between field execution teams, client stakeholders, and company leadership. Projects may include hot aisle containment, cold aisle containment, airflow optimization, cage installations, rack infrastructure modifications, overhead pathway systems, white space improvements, and other critical environment initiatives within active data center facilities.The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring project success through four core disciplines: Organization, Coordination, Communication, and Accountability. This role ensures work is properly planned, resources are aligned, risks are managed, stakeholders remain informed, and project commitments are executed safely and efficiently.The ideal candidate is a leader with strong client relationship skills, operational discipline, and a proven ability to manage complex multi-site projects within mission-critical environments where safety, uptime, quality, and procedural compliance are essential.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, critical facilities, construction, telecommunications, low-voltage systems, or related technical environmentsPrior supervisory, operations management, or project management experience requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; PMP, CAPM, OSHA, or technical certifications preferredPrior military leadership experience with project or operational responsibility is a plusDemonstrated ability to manage multiple teams, subcontractors, and workstreams across geographically distributed sitesStrong client-facing communication skills and experience providing executive-level project updatesExperience with project planning, scheduling, labor forecasting, reporting, and documentationProficiency with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365, or equivalent project management platforms preferredRESPONSIBILITIESOrganizationDevelop and maintain project schedules, staffing plans, labor forecasts, and project documentation across all assigned locations.Ensure work activities are properly planned, sequenced, and executed in accordance with client requirements and operational constraints.Track project scope, schedule, labor utilization, quality metrics, risks, and milestones throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate project documentation, change requests, work authorizations, and closeout packages.CoordinationCoordinate activities between Lead Technicians, Area Leads, vendors, subcontractors, logistics, client stakeholders, and internal operations teams.Manage resource allocation across multiple active sites, adjusting staffing and priorities as project needs evolve.Remove operational roadblocks and facilitate issue resolution across teams.Support Lead Technicians with complex field decisions and client interactions requiring senior-level involvement.CommunicationServe as the primary client-facing representative for all assigned projects and engagements.Provide regular status updates, schedule forecasts, labor reporting, risk assessments, and project health summaries.Proactively communicate project risks, blockers, staffing concerns, and schedule impacts to client and company leadership.Build and maintain trusted relationships with client operations teams, construction managers, and leadership stakeholders.AccountabilityOwn end-to-end project delivery with accountability for safety, schedule, scope, labor performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.Maintain visibility across all active project sites and serve as the primary escalation point for operational and project-related issues.Hold teams accountable to project commitments, quality standards, safety requirements, and client operating procedures.Drive corrective actions through completion when issues arise and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into future execution.SAFETY & CRITICAL ENVIRONMENT COMPLIANCEEnforce all client and company safety policies, including incident reporting, corrective actions, and stop-work authority when unsafe conditions exist.Ensure all personnel possess required site access, certifications, training, orientations, and PPE prior to performing work.Verify adherence to approved Methods of Procedure (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), security requirements, and critical environment operating standards.Ensure project activities are conducted with minimal operational impact to live production environments.Maintain strict compliance with client data center security, safety, and confidentiality requirements.EXPECTATIONSBuild and maintain project schedules and staffing plans in coordination with Site Leads, Area Leads, vendors, and client stakeholders.Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of labor hours, staffing utilization, project progress, and scope changes.Support project closeout activities including quality verification, punch list completion, final documentation submission, lessons learned reviews, and client acceptance.Maintain consistent visibility across all active sites through site visits, project reviews, field audits, and stakeholder engagement.Operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership;
