Job Announcement Position Information Position Title Part Time Continuing Education Instructor Pool - Personal Development Campus Cranford, Elizabeth, Plainfield, and other off campus locations as needed Department Continuing Education Full-time, Part-time, Adjunct Part Time Exempt or Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Regular,Temporary, or Grant Temporary General Description Instructors needed to teach the following courses - evenings, weekends and occasionally daytime hours. Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities • Art • Foreign Language - Spanish and French • Photography • History • Knit & Crochet • Floral Design • Fitness: Pilates, Yoga, Zumba • Music • Writing • Social Networking Education Requirements • High school diploma required. An equivalent combination of education, industry certification and/or experience to demonstrate core competencies required. Experience • Teaching experience preferred. • Flexible schedule. • Working with a diverse population. Competencies and Skills Required •Background experience in teaching the Continuing Education courses listed above. •Curiosity •Quick Study Physical Demands and Work Environment • This position's duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled. • Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. • No or very limited exposure to physical risk. • Some travel required.
