Job Title: Sr. ETL DeveloperLocation: El Segundo, CA (Local profiles are highly preferred.)Duration: 6 MonthsMandatory skill: ETL development using Informatica Power Center v10+, PythonProfile & Analyze Source Data (Mainframe Extracts, flat files, SQL Server, Web services, etc.) usage using Informatica ETL.Analyzing and evaluating data sources, data volume and business rulesAutomation, job scheduling, dependencies, monitoringExtraction, transformation and load of data using ETL toolsConfigure/Script Business rules and transformation rules in InformaticaDesign and development of ETL Informatica jobs as per the Business requirementsUnderstanding the data model, designing the model for EDW, mapping the data and running the ETL jobsEnsure appropriate level of Unit Test and System Test of all deliverablesUnderstanding of deployment process of both Informatica PowerCenter and IICS jobsKnowledge in version control tools like Bitbucket, Git, etc and knowledge of branching and check-in of codeDefect fixes for System Test, Operational Acceptance testsand ProductionOther Skills RequiredGood experience with Defect tracking toolExperience in Design and implementation of complex ETL processes.Proficient in writing complex SQL queriesGood Understanding of traditional RDBMS systems like SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, etc.Excellent problem solving, debugging, and performance tuning skillsExcellent communication skillsQualificationsAny Graduate with degree in Engineering/ScienceA great communicator of ideas and solutions and a lateral thinker when faced with complex performance or production issues.
