Job DetailsDescriptionAir General, a third-generation, family-owned, national cargo company, is looking for full time Warehouse Agents and Office Agents at our Houston Ocean facility located in Houston, TX.The event takes place on Tuesday 6/9 and Wednesday 6/10 from 10am - 4pm. We will be holding open interviews and may be making job offers on the spot. Location details will be shared to those who apply.If you are interested in a career with an industry leader that promotes a diverse and inclusive culture, one where employees feel valued and respected, and are encouraged to contribute their unique perspectives, please consider joining us!Warehouse Agent Responsibilities IncludeOperate a forklift, tug and pallet jack.Process customer paperwork and shipping information.Load/unload cargo from/to vehicles/trucks.Prepare, palletize, and/or breakdown cargo as needed.Make sure paperwork related to the cargo is accurate.Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo.Clean up and sweep warehouse, dispose garbage.Maintain safe operation of warehouse vehicles and equipment.Follow Hazmat and Security Requirements and Regulations.All other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.Office Agent Responsibilities IncludePrepare statistics and reports, as required by the customer, and distribute to all relevant parties. Maintain logs, files, and statistics as required.Provide details about shipments or handling incidents, which may result in future claims.Make accurate and timely data entries.Bring any customer issues to the attention of a supervisor.Prepare documentation for tracing action, perform follow-up, and keep customer informed of progress.Provide customers with information concerning the status of their shipments.Review and handle all messages requiring immediate responses or special handling. Liaise with supervisor as required. Deposit customer funds regularly, in accordance with customer requirements. Survey all work and office areas for neat, clean, and orderly conditions, including all back offices.
