Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor Meyer Utility Structures is searching for a Maintenance Supervisor. In this role, you will lead and support the Clinton, IL utility pole manufacturing plant by leading and supporting a team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance and efficient resolution of unscheduled work orders. This role trains and coaches technicians while diagnosing and resolving operating issues across manufacturing machinery and facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. The position uses blueprints, schematics, tools, and electronic test equipment to troubleshoot, repair, and modify computer-controlled and electronic equipment, including PLC/CNC wiring and programming, while maintaining strict adherence to safety practices and participating in safety initiatives as needed.Meyer Utility Structures is a proud subsidiary of the infrastructure company, Arcosa, Inc. Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications.What You'll Do:Lead a team of maintenance technicians in ensuring all scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled work orders are completed correctly and efficientlyTeach, train, coach and lead our maintenance technicians in the achievement of all required tasksHelp determine causes of and solutions for operating problems in manufacturing machinery, electrical systems/components, plumbing systems, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.Use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production electronic components, parts, switch panels, electronic equipment, and systemsWiring and programming of electronics and control boxes with PLC and CNC programmingMake electronic, mechanical, or electrical repairs on all computer-controlled equipmentMay be required to perform Equipment Technician work as needed Follow all safety rules and practicesMay be involved in safety committees or initiativesWhat You'll Need:Successful supervisory maintenance experience in a manufacturing or related environmentA safety-first, proactive approach to equipment and facility maintenanceA high level of understanding and experience diagnosing and correcting issues with PLC, CNC or VFD programmingAbility to read and troubleshoot PLC programmingAbility to read blueprints and schematicsCompensation and Benefits:Meyer Utility Structures is proud to offer competitive benefits and programs to help you and your family meet your healthcare and retirement planning needs.
