Job Description: Hardware DesignerLocation : Dallas, TX (Remote)Role OverviewWe are seeking a Hardware Designer / Hardware Design Engineer to design and develop high-performance electronic systems and boards for next-generation adaptive compute and communication platforms .This role involves end-to-end hardware design , from schematic development to board bring-up , ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.Key Responsibilities1. System & Hardware DesignDesign system architecture and hardware solutions for:SoC / FPGA-based platformsEmbedded and high-performance compute systemsDevelop schematics and select components (processors, memory, power, interfaces)Define system-level requirements and specifications2. Schematic Design & Component SelectionCreate schematics using tools like:Cadence OrCAD / Allegro, Mentor Graphics, AltiumSelect and validate components:CPUs/GPUs/FPGAsDDR memory, PMICs, clocks, interfacesPerform design calculations and simulations3. High-Speed & Interface DesignDesign for high-speed interfaces such as:DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, MIPIDefine constraints for:Signal integrity (SI)Timing and routingCollaborate with PCB layout teams for implementation4. Power & Thermal DesignDefine power architecture (VRMs, regulators, sequencing)Ensure compliance with:Power integrity (PI)Thermal requirementsOptimize for efficiency and reliability5. Board Bring-up & ValidationPerform hardware bring-up and debuggingValidate designs using:Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzersTroubleshoot:Signal issues, power failures, boot problems6. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with:PCB layout, RF, and mechanical teamsFirmware/software teams for system bring-upManufacturing and testing teamsParticipate in design reviews and product lifecycle supportRequired Skills & QualificationsEducationB.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Communication EngineeringExperience4–12+ years in hardware/system designTechnical SkillsStrong expertise in:Schematic design and system architectureHigh-speed digital design fundamentalsGood understanding of:SI/PI concepts and PCB design constraintsPower design basics (VRM, regulators)Experience with tools:Cadence OrCAD / Allegro, Altium, Mentor GraphicsKnowledge of:Embedded systems and SoC/FPGA platformsPreferred SkillsExperience in:Adaptive compute / FPGA-based systemsExposure to:AI/ML, networking, or automotive platformsKnowledge of:EMI/EMC compliance and certificationThermal and mechanical considerationsBehavioral CompetenciesStrong analytical and debugging skillsOwnership and accountability for design deliverablesAbility to work in cross-functional teamsEffective communication and documentation skills
