Epic Prelude and Grand Central Application Manager

Job Summary#CA-FTProvides leadership over the patient registration and patient movement application teams. This position manages the enhancement, maintenance, and operational support of Epic's Grand Central, RTE, and Prelude applications. This position also manages the implementation of the related Epic systems and third-party applications conducive to optimization and the execution of UCDH's strategic objectives. The role oversees all aspects of the application operations support and new system implementation including managing urgent system fixes, application upgrades, requirements gathering, analysis, design, build, testing, and deployment and support for UCDH and hosted affiliates. The position works with department administrators, manages and staff in Finance, Managed Care, Clinical Operations, Patient Care Services, Perioperative Services, Ancillary Departments, HIM, and cross functional teams, and subject matter experts throughout the health system delivery process. The position reports to the Epic Patient Access Applications Director of UC Davis Health System Information Technology Applications department.Apply By Date: May 25, 2026 at 11:59pm. Selection activities may start at any time.Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the positionOne or more Epic Application certifications in the following: Prelude, Cadence, RTE, Grand CentralBachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Two (2) years or more of supervisory and/or managerial experience managing technical teams in an enterprise IT environmentThree (3) or more years experience supporting and implementing complex healthcare information systems in a clinical environmentA minimum of five (5) years experience in Information TechnologyExperience in planning and delegating work, resource management budgeting and operational oversightExperience leading programs and projects with vendor resources, consultants, and contractorsStrong knowledge of healthcare information technology, Epic workflow and processes and medical terminology. Comprehensive understanding of Epic applications and integration with clinical processes and workflows.Knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of how to plan for impacts to clinical and operational workflows, policies, and practices.Applies proven human resources management skills in staff selection, development, and evaluation.
