JOB TITLE: Yard ManagerDEPARTMENT: ServiceREPORTS TO: General ManagerPOSITION PURPOSE :The Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing daily yard operations within the marina while leading and supporting yard staff to meet customer service objectives. This role ensures all marina procedures and processes related to yard functions are consistently implemented and followed.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :1. Hire, train, develop, and motivate team members2. Oversee vehicle operators, material movers, and any other relevant yard-related team members3. Monitor yard inventory and purchases4. Supervise and maintain the yard fence facility and equipment maintenance5. Ensure compliance with the company's equipment and safety requirements6. Identify and evaluate malfunctioning equipment and recommend corrective measures or repair7. Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to the General ManagerEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :1. Prior work history in a supervisor position in a mechanical, marine, or operational capacity is preferred2. Must have highly effective communication and time management skills3. Must be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activityWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1. Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds.2. Must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat) for extended periods of time3.
