Glou Glou is a bar that serves house cocktails, natural wines, beer, small plates, and zero-proof drinks. It operates out of a quaint bungalow on one of Providence's busiest streets in the neighborhood of Fox Point. At the center of Glou is a menu that values quality products and seasonality; deep focus on hospitality and inclusivity. Overview The bartender will be involved in all aspects of bar operations, including mixing and serving drinks to guests, handling cash and credit card transactions, cultivating relationships with regulars, and working directly with the owners. Tasks Mix drinks and cocktails, serve beer and wine Ensure quality and consistency in drinks Bar prep for streamlined service Collect cash and credit cards for food and drinks served Check identification of guests to verify legal drinking age Clean bar, tables, worktops, outdoor patio, and other areas Stock bar and back bar with beer, wine, liquor, napkins, straws, ice, glassware Anticipate and prioritize guests’ needs Collect and clean used glassware and barware General bar oversight, attempting to limit problems and liability related to guests’ excessive drinking Qualifications & Requirements 2+ years expeirence and knowledge in serving liquor, wine, and beer Able to stand for 10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
