On-Call Security Officer: P&G Mixing Center South Dallas Area (Ferris/Wilmer)Job Summary: Under limited supervision, the Security Officer provides security and protection of work site(s), personnel and assets at the assigned job site. Enforces safety measures, performs regular patrols of assigned premises, and responds to incidents based on established operational procedures.Work Schedule: Schedule and hours will vary upon business needs. Eligible to turn into a full-time position upon availability.Required Qualifications:Minimum 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentMilitary, law enforcement, or security experience License (or ability to obtain) in the stated where worked is performedAs a condition of employment, must be able to successfully complete a criminal background investigation, drug screen, and a grounds, examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure that they are properly securedPerform searches of people, vehicles, buildings, and other assigned areasDisplay courteous, respectful and professional interactions with the public and customersProcess visitors and produce access badgesMonitor traffic and parkingMay operate and monitor CCTV equipmentMay be asked to perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies and disastersRespond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving mannerEffectively and coherently communicate over radio channels while initiating and responding to radio communicationsInterview people to detect infringements and to investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism and accidents or incidentsReport irregularities to managementWrite Daily Activity Reports and/or Incident ReportsMay assist management and law enforcement officials in emergency situations, apprehending unauthorized persons found on the property, of time and exposure to work assignments consisting of twelve-hour days and able to work day or night shifts as required. The majority of the work is performed in a plant setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.Physical Demands:The employee's work requires routine walking, standing, bending, pushing and/or pulling, and carrying items up to 25 lbs.
