This role is designed for an experienced tax leader with a Big 4 or large‑firm background, capable of advising middle‑market and closely held businesses on complex tax matters across planning, tax provision, and compliance.The role combines technical leadership, client advisory responsibility, and team development, without an equity buy‑in requirement.Qualifications:CPA license required (JD / LLM a plus)12–15+ years of public accounting tax experience, including senior manager, principal, or partner‑track responsibilitiesProven experience in: Tax planning and structuringASC 740 tax provision (private companies)Complex business tax complianceBackground with a Big 4 or large national/regional firm strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to manage client relationships and technical engagements independentlyStrong communication skills with owners, CFOs, and executive managementKey Responsibilities:Serve as lead tax advisor for private, for‑profit clients across a broad range of industriesProvide strategic tax planning for C‑corporations, S‑corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and consolidated groupsReview and sign complex federal and state income tax returns, including multi‑state filingsLead and review ASC 740 / tax provision work for private companiesAdvise clients on entity structuring, M&A transactions, exit planning, financing, and reorganizationsOversee and support IRS and state tax examinationsCollaborate with audit and advisory teams to deliver integrated client solutionsAct as a technical resource and mentor to managers and senior managersContribute to practice growth through proposal review, client expansion, and thought leadershipClient ProfileThis role supports private, for‑profit organizations, including:Middle‑market companies and family‑owned businessesPrivate equity‑backed portfolio companiesReal estate, professional services, manufacturing, distribution, and technology clientsComplex entity structures with multi‑state or multi‑entity tax considerations
