Production Machine Operator

Accurate Bushing in currently seeking two manufacturing professionals, 1) Grinder and 2) Secondary Machinist Machines and Gauges Used by Grinder Machines used: Internal grinder, ID and OD centerless grinders, radius grinder, surface grinder, OD universal grinder, OD cylindrical grinder. Machine brands include Heald, Byrant, Landis, Cincinnati, Van Norman, and Blanchard. Gauges used: ID micrometer, air gauge, Sunnen gauge, OD micrometer, dial bore gauge, jaw blocks and plug gauges. Machines Used by Secondary Machinist Machine lathes, CNC lathes, honing machines, milling machines, drilling machines, screw machines, tumbling/cleaning machines. Brands include Hardinge, Milwaukee, Kent Owens, Nichols Miller, Walker Turner, Precise, Atlas Copco, Excell-O, Kingsbury, Sunnen, Leblond, Warner Swasey, Kramer. Required Skills/Abilities: · Ability to do simple math (adding, subtracting, decimals). · Basic communication skills: reading, speaking and writing. · Problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and exercise independent judgement when required. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Ability to read blueprints. · Excellent time management skills. · Ability to set all types of gauges, knowledge of specifications for concentricity of tolerances of micro finishes. · Knowledge of what type of grinding wheels to use with different types of steel. · Ability to follow proper safety protocols. Education and Experience: · High school diploma or equivalent. · Up to two years of experience operating machinery in manufacturing environment. · Two to five years of prior experience as a grinder. Physical Requirements: · Comfortable working in a light industrial/manufacturing environment. (noise, smells) · Prolonged periods of working on feet, using tools and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and lifting. · Must be able to lift up to (50) pounds at times · Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced. · Must have manual dexterity necessary to operate the machinery.
