Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lean Practitioner (Entry Level, Associate or Mid-Level) to BDS Lean Organization inRidley Park, PA.As a Lean Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in driving Lean initiatives and mindset across the organization. You will be responsible for Lean activities and partnering with stakeholders to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance. This position requires an understanding of Lean principles and methodologies, as well as the ability to guide teams and leaders in their Lean journey.Position Responsibilities:Level 1Observes and supports with instruction in improvement tools and principlesParticipates in teaching basic LEAN modulesAssists with process improvementHelps gather data and informationLevel 2Facilitate Lean activities and initiatives across various programs & functionsApply applicable lean tools (e.g. Problem solving, Kaizen workshops, 3p, Value Steam mapping, Process mapping, 5s) and process analysis to identify areas for improvementAssist in development, deployment and execution of integrated continuous improvement strategy and assist with its strategic deploymentAssist in development and implementation of Lean training programs for employees at all levelsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement efforts, facilitate cross-team best-practice sharing, and promote replication of successful process improvements across the organizationUtilize data analysis and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Lean initiativesEducate stakeholders in Lean principles and practicesPrepare and present reports on progress and outcomes to managementStay updated on industry trends and best practices in Lean methodologiesLevel 3Represent Lean / continuous improvement function in program reviews and strategic planningOperationalize data analytics into daily Lean practice and prioritiesConnect Lean principles and strategy to execution and results - mature Seek, Speak, Listen and closed loop for continuous improvementTailors message to specific audience levelLeads and facilitates complex and high visibility process improvement effortsGuides the effective application and integration of LEAN implementationApplies and integrates improvement processes and tools across the siteLeads and facilitates the improvement and standardization of enterprise policies and proceduresRepresents the LEAN improvements function in program reviewsThis position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):1 + year of experience using Lean Principles and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace (e.g. Problem solving, Kaizen workshops, 3p, Value Steam Mapping, Process mapping, 5S)1+ year of experience working in cross-functional teamsWilling and able to work a variable shift (primarily 1st shift)Willing and able to travel domestically and potentially international travelPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Associate's degree or higherLean Six Sigma Certification1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment1+ years of Experience in Toyota Production System (TPS)/Boeing Production System (BPS) or equivalentRelocation:This position is in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.Work Location:This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
