Senior Cybersecurity Engineer | Fort Belvoir, VA | $131,300 - $237,350We're working with a premier leader in global defense technology and mission-critical innovation on this exciting opportunity. We are seeking a mission-driven expert to lead cybersecurity engineering for a high-profile DoD contract, driving the modernization of enterprise-scale IT infrastructure across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS environments.This isn't just about maintaining systems; it's about outpacing threats. You will design and deploy sophisticated security solutions—integrating IAM, EDR, and SIEM technologies—to protect critical national security assets while navigating complex RMF authorizations in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.The Role Lead comprehensive DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) cybersecurity activities for large-scale enterprise systems across multiple classification levels (NIPR/SIPR/JWICS). Architect and implement automated vulnerability testing and risk management controls within high-tempo DevSecOps delivery pipelines. Manage endpoint security solutions and executive reporting to CMRS, ensuring total visibility of the threat landscape. Navigate the full Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle to achieve and maintain Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) using tools like eMASS and Xacta. Deliver high-impact technical briefings to senior Government stakeholders, translating complex cybersecurity risks into actionable strategic roadmaps.What You'll Need Active TS/SCI security clearance (Required). A Master’s degree with 15+ years of experience, or equivalent expert-level experience in cybersecurity engineering. Current CISSP Certification and 8+ years of hands-on experience designing secure enterprise architectures (IAM, NDR, EDR, SIEM, and AI/ML tools). Deep technical mastery of NIST SP 800-37 (RMF) and NIST 800-137 (Continuous Monitoring) standards within a federal environment.
