Payroll Administrator
About This Role: FirstFour Staffing is currently looking for a temporary Payroll Admin in Mobile, Alabama! The Payroll Admin will work closely with field locations and corporate staff to timely and accurately execute weekly payments for Independent Contractor drivers.Duties and Responsibilities:Prepares and distributes accurate contractor payments in a timely mannerPerform daily/weekly tasks to assist in the timely approval and processing of paymentsEstablish and verifies accurate deductions and chargebacks including fuel, insurance, and IFTA taxesCollects bank and direct deposit information from contractorsProcess and monitor contractor incentive programsRespond to and create contractor garnishment recordsPerform financial reviews for monetary assistance programsResearch and respond to discrepancies or inquiries regarding settlement issues or concernsReconcile annual 1099 tax dataHigh volume verbal and written communication with team members and contractorsProvide administrative support to field offices and contractors Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED required Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferredPrefer 1-3 years working in a banking, payroll or related discipline High attention to detail is required Flexible and open to adjust to an evolving industry Strong organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial matters Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products with strong proficiency in Excel
