Maintenance Technician $33ph - $38phLocation: Huntersville, NCPosition Type: Full-TimeMechanical or electrical bias consideredPosition SummaryThe Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, building systems, and supporting infrastructure to minimize downtime and maintain high-quality output.Key Responsibilities• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.• Diagnose and repair equipment issues, including motors, conveyors, presses, extruders, and facility utilities.• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to support continuous production.• Install, modify, and upgrade machinery in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards.• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment history.• Collaborate with production teams to identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and OSHA requirements.• Support general facility maintenance, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and building upkeep.• Assist with spare parts inventory and communicate needs to purchasing.• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.Required Qualifications• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.• 2–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and / or industrial electrical systems, PLC basics, and pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.• Understanding of safety procedures and hazard recognition.• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.Preferred Qualifications• Experience in continuous manufacturing or similar industrial environments.• Familiarity with CMMS systems for maintenance tracking.• Basic PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or Siemens).• Welding, fabrication, or machining skills.• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
