SEAT FOAM ENGINEER

Relocation assistance and GREAT BENEFITS!Summary:The Engineer’s daily tasks will relate to all aspects of automotive seat foam production, maintenance of foam pad equipment and quality improvements of foam pad production. Responsibilities:Investigate technical issues related to foam productionDrive continuous improvement processes with material and machines, utilizing improved processes and technologyAssist the management and foam team in organizing, planning, and implementing strategies within the foam lineValidate & continually improve lab results as it relates to static load, hardness, density, and dimension of finished foam.Ensure all robotics are programmed and maintained to optimize pour patternsEducation and Experience: BS/BA degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or polymer science and at least 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience related to Foam manufacturing or injection molding. Technical Skills Required:• Proven experience as polyurethane foam engineer or similar position • Knowledge of oval track foam machines (Complete calibration of metering units/ Mix head components) • Knowledge of chemical blending & validation methods (PU foam) • Ability to coordinate/perform capability & correlation studies to validate equipment • Knowledge of PU lab testing equipment & processes ( Cup Shot/ Titration/ Force to crush/ ILD) • Proficient user of MS Office • Organizational abilities • Analytical mind with good math skills • Interpersonal and communication skills • Advanced problem-solving • Robotic programming • Blueprint reading • Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic troubleshooting skills Malone Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
