We are currently seeking several Prototype Automotive Mechanics to join our team in Novi, MI.Job responsibilities include:Retrofit of vehiclesUpfit of vehiclesDiagnostics of build concernsDiagnostics of vehicle programmingAssist engineering team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective actionComplete reports on concerns found during assigned projectTracking personal progress to ensure department and corporate objectives are metMaintain delivery timing on assignmentsQuality checks of pre and post builds.Minimum Qualifications:3+ years of automotive mechanic experienceExperience with equipment such as hoists, liquid evacuation, tools for engine removals, otherWilling to work overtime as neededStrong automotive mechanical skills, problem solving skillsVehicle diagnostics, vehicle re-flash programmingReasonably skilled in the understanding of vehicle operation in HVAC, Fuel/Exhaust, Brake System, Engine Electrical, Body Electrical, Transmission/Transfer case, Front-Wheel Drive Transaxle, Automatic Transmission, Minor Body/Interior.Reasonable computer skills in accessing, reading, and inputting required vehicle repair dataState of Michigan, ASE, and/or manufacturer certifications a plusPowered by JazzHR
