AUTOMOTIVE Tool Crib Attendant:

UAW-LETC is expanding their Automotive training programs. This expansion creates a great opportunity for an individual interested in assisting automotive and/or diesel staff and students at the Clearfield Job Corps Automotive Training Program.
Do you have a background in automotive or diesel mechanics and are you looking to share your knowledge and experience with a new crop of future technicians? Do you like working with young people interested in changing their lives for a better future? Would you like to be a mentor to students interested in career in the automotive or diesel industry? If so, UAW-LETC offers a program for technicians who have a strong desire to work with students between the ages of 17 and 27 years old.

Responsibilities: include:
Maintain and oversee tool room activities.
Order tools and equipment
Submit supply orders
Submit Purchase requests as needed
Receive and unpack incoming orders
Support OSHA related safety practices
Understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Stocks shelves and maintain inventory to support training programs
Maintain purchasing data and provide updates for parts and services as required
Participate in weekly/monthly inventory audits and annual physical inventories
Maintains database of issued, damaged, worn out or missing tools and equipment
Ability to communicate with various departments within a team environment
Maintain various storage lists, files and logs pertaining to the control of tool accountability.
Check tool availability and follow proper schedules for issuing and retrieval of tools.
Contact departments and persons to process paperwork.
Submit and monitor maintenance requests to full completion.
Oversee and carry out quarterly inventory.
Instruct young adults with proper tool maintenance and accountability.
Support student training in the following areas: Automotive Foundations, Electrical, Brakes, Suspension and Steering, Engines and Transmissions and HVAC and related subjects in the Diesel and Collision and Refinishing training area.
Provide excellent customer service to students and staff.
Maintain equipment, vehicles to support a safe, clean and organized work environment.
Must have at least 2 years Automotive or Diesel Experience.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must show strong attention to detail and have a desire to change the lives of young adults pursuing an automotive/diesel career.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
