💡 Why Join UsJoin Rail Europe in a role at the heart of payment performance, fraud prevention, and customer experience across B2C, B2B and Groups.Work on a high-impact scope where payment acceptance, failed transactions, chargebacks and fraud rules directly influence conversion, revenue protection and operational efficiency.Take ownership of a transversal product area, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to make payment journeys more reliable across markets, currencies and payment methods.Bring your payments and fraud expertise into a pragmatic product environment, where analytical thinking, business sense and clear prioritisation are essential to create value.🛠️ What You’ll DoPayments & Fraud Product OwnershipOwn the payments and fraud product scope across Rail Europe products.Support B2C, B2B, Groups and related teams on payment and fraud topics.Identify and prioritise improvements linked to payment reliability, fraud prevention and business performance.Structure product needs clearly in a context with no dedicated product team or dedicated engineering capacity for this scope.Payment PerformanceMonitor key indicators such as acceptance rate, failed payments and chargebacks.Investigate performance issues and define practical actions to improve results.Work on routing, retry logic, fallback logic, payment methods and currencies.Support decisions linked to current and potential payment providers.Fraud & RiskContribute to fraud strategy and fraud rule optimisation.Work with the Anti-Fraud team and relevant stakeholders on fraud performance topics.Analyse fraud trends and operational pain points.Help find the right balance between fraud protection, payment acceptance and customer experience.Partner & Provider ManagementManage relationships with payment and fraud partners.Follow partner performance and challenge partners when needed.Assess provider capabilities, integration constraints and operational impacts.Use API documentation and technical information to support product and engineering discussions.Cross-functional CollaborationTranslate payment and fraud needs into clear product requirements for Engineering.Collaborate with Product, Finance, Operations and business teams on payment-related priorities.Use data, partner insights and business context to support decisions.Act as the internal point of reference for payments and fraud product topics.🔍 What You BringRequiredAround 5 years of experience, or less if your payments expertise is strong.Experience in a product-oriented role connected to payments and/or fraud.Strong payments and fraud expertise, with a solid understanding of PSPs, payment orchestration, payment methods, routing, acceptance rate, chargebacks, fraud rules and fraud operations.Ability to read API documentation and work with Engineering teams.Experience working in an international environment with multiple markets, currencies and payment methods.Strong analytical skills to investigate issues and interpret performance data.Pragmatic mindset, with the ability to work in a transversal role.Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ownership, structure and business sense.Is a plus, but not requiredPrevious experience in a formal Product Manager role.Experience in a PSP, payment provider, fraud provider or payment-related company.Partnership or account management experience within a payment provider.🤝 Recruitment ProcessHR Screening with Talent Development Manager: A first discussion to assess motivation, role understanding, communication style and fit with Rail Europe.Payments & Fraud Interview with Senior Product Manager: A focused interview to validate payments and fraud knowledge, reasoning and ability to handle concrete business situations. This step may include a short live case, for example investigating a low acceptance rate after the integration of a new payment provider.Final Interview with VP Product: A final discussion to assess product fit, ownership, collaboration style and alignment with the role expectations.
