Job DetailsDescriptionThe Engineer supports the daily operation and upkeep of the property by maintaining guest cottages, common areas, and resort equipment. This hands-on role helps ensure the resort remains safe, functional, and guest-ready through routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive care.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systemsTroubleshoot and repair resort equipment, facilities, pools, and common-area systemsRespond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely and professional mannerComplete preventive maintenance tasks to help reduce equipment downtime and service interruptionsInspect resort facilities regularly to identify maintenance or safety concernsMaintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following company safety proceduresAssist during emergencies such as power outages, severe weather, or equipment failuresWork closely with other departments to support smooth day-to-day resort operationsKeep accurate records of completed work orders, repairs, and inspectionsSupport additional maintenance projects and operational tasks as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious maintenance experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, resort, campground, or property maintenance settingsWorking knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniquesAbility to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independentlyStrong communication and problem-solving skillsComfortable working both independently and as part of a teamValid driver’s license preferredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditionsFlexible availability including weekends and holidaysPosition Details & BenefitsFull-time seasonal position located in Berlin, MDFlexible scheduling required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysBenefits include Paid Sick Time, team member travel discounts, and additional resort perksSun Outdoors Ocean City is an Equal Opportunity EmployerEOE / AA / M / F / Veterans / Disabled / Drug-Free Workplace
