Assist the Installation team in maintaining our key role of being a valued and trusted technology partner to our enterprise clients through effective installation and support of data (routing/switching), wireless, voice and network security products. We are looking for a team player who is a detail oriented problem solver and excellent communicator. Willingness to work independently and in client facing situations is essential. Continuous learning and certifications for certain relevant technology platforms and disciplines are expected for this position. Employer-paid training is available (restrictions apply). Applicants must have their own vehicle for transportation to local job sites. Dice Communications has a nationwide client base, travel to client sites will be required. Primary Responsibilities: Maintain and support a variety of routed and switched TCP/IP networking systems including LAN / WAN / WLAN / Security in highly-secure and regulated environments. Leverage several network analysis utilities to monitor, troubleshoot, plan and measure network and host communication and performance at all levels of the OSI model. Identify and apply networking and security best practices. Ensure the highest level of security and availability for core and branch networking systems. Act as a key collaborative resource with business, leadership, and technology teams for routine issues and project-related requirements. Maintain knowledge base and procedural documentation. Support engagements in a continuous cross-training environment. Desired Technical Skills: Strong understanding of core TCP/IP protocol suite and ability to troubleshoot network issues. Knowledge and experience installing switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers. Proficient with WAN routing and design Experience managing enterprise-level network firewall and VPN technologies. Windows and Linux OS knowledge relating to networking and security. Familiarity with Microsoft Visio. Ideal Candidates will also have experience with: Fortinet solutions Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solutions HP Enterprise/Aruba and ClearPass Experience with voice implementations Qualifications for Position: College course work or other specialized networking training required. Network and/or Wireless LAN related certification required. Five or more years experience working with routers, switches, firewalls and Wireless LAN systems and ALE ACFE, HPE Aruba ACSA/ACMA, Fortinet NSE-4, Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification required. Knowledge of education and Government environments. Organization and prioritization skills Ability to work alone or with little supervision. Willingness to pursue further education in networking, voice, network security. Willingness to stay current with technology trends.
