VMO, Vendor Program Manager
The IT VMO Program and Insights Manager is responsible for designing, executing, and continuously improving Carlisle's IT Vendor Management Office (VMO) operating model, with a strong emphasis on data-driven insights, program execution, and vendor lifecycle governance. This role serves as a key driver of VMO maturity by owning vendor data, RFx execution, commercial negotiation support, and vendor performance management. The role partners closely with Strategic Sourcing, Legal, Finance, IT leaders, and business stakeholders to ensure vendor decisions are informed, scalable, and aligned with enterprise objectives. Please note this is an on-site position at our Scottsdale office.Key Functions and ResponsibilitiesContract Lifecycle Systems & Workflow ManagementPrimary administrator and process owner for the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.Design, configure, and optimize VMO workflows, including contract lifecycle, vendor onboarding, renewals, and performance management.Ensure executed contracts are collected, stored, tagged, and maintained with strong data integrity and governance.Initiate and coordinate contract renewal activities in alignment with sourcing and business timelines.Develop and deliver CLM reporting, dashboards, and insights to internal stakeholders.Vendor Program Execution & RFx ManagementLead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of RFx programs (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs), including requirements definition, evaluation frameworks, and stakeholder coordination.Partner with Strategic Sourcing and procurement colleagues to support sourcing activities, statements of work (SOWs), and vendor evaluations.Support vendor commercial negotiations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and risk tolerance.Develop and maintain a knowledgebase of negotiation strategies, benchmarks, and best practices.Vendor Performance, Data & InsightsOwn vendor performance management processes, including scorecard development, feedback collection, and performance reporting.Design, build, and maintain the Vendor Management Database (VMDB), ensuring data standardization, accuracy, and usability across the vendor lifecycle.Establish vendor data governance standards to improve reporting quality and decision-making.Develop reporting and insights that support vendor, sourcing, and financial decision-making.Stakeholder Partnership & VMO MaturityPartner with IT leaders, business owners, Legal, Finance, and Procurement to gather requirements and translate them into scalable VMO processes and tools.Provide regular communications and insights to executives and stakeholders regarding vendor performance, sourcing activity, and contract status.Support ongoing maturity of the VMO operating model through documentation, training materials, and process standardization.Qualifications3-5 years of experience in IT vendor management, contract management, sourcing, procurement, or related disciplines.Demonstrated experience managing or negotiating IT vendor contracts across hardware, software, SaaS, and services.Experience working with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems and vendor management tools.Strong analytical, process design, and reporting skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.Knowledge of IT market categories, pricing models, and vendor performance management practices.Core CompetenciesConceptual Thinking: Ability to assess contractual, commercial, and financial exposure and support negotiation strategies.Business Acumen: Strong understanding of IT sourcing, vendor economics, and risk management.Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, Legal, Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey insights to executive audiences.
