About Our Client:The organization operates an IT applications and infrastructure services program supporting multiple clients within the Department of Justice, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This program delivers a broad range of IT services such as software application support, infrastructure support, service desk, IT service management, workstation engineering, telecommunications, managed print services, Active Directory services, and video conferencing. It includes a DevOps team responsible for software development and operations support for various custom software systems.2. About the Opportunity:The .NET Developer will support the implementation of Okta authentication across multiple applications and systems within the program. This role involves coordinating with technical teams, project managers, and customers to develop solutions for modifying systems to use Okta authentication. The position requires technical expertise and effective communication to ensure successful integration and support of authentication services.3. Responsibilities:Develop and maintain software applications using Agile methodologiesConsult with business owners and users to gather and analyze requirementsImplement migration of software applications from current ADFS Identity Access Management to OktaPerform application testingCreate and maintain documentation including migration, implementation, and test plansUse DevOps tools to build, deploy, test, and inspect applicationsCollaborate with project teams to deliver technically sound projects on time and within budget4. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 8+ years experience, or high school diploma with an additional 4+ years experienceExperience with Agile software developmentProficiency in Microsoft .NET technologies including C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, Web Services, and WCFKnowledge of HTML, CSS, REST, SOAP, JSON, and JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js, React, or AngularExperience with database query languages including Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft T/SQLFamiliarity with RedHat Enterprise LinuxExperience with API testing tools like SoapUI, Postman, and JMeterExperience with Microsoft SQL Server or higherKnowledge of XML technologiesExperience integrating with IDAM systems using SAML, XACML, SPML, or SSOStrong communication and teamwork skillsExperience interfacing with customersPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Identity and Access Management systems, especially Okta integrationExperience with AWS technologiesFamiliarity with software development tools such as GitLab and JenkinsExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShiftExperience with security scanning tools like SonarQube and TenableExperience with IDEs such as Eclipse, JDeveloper, and Visual Studio5.
