Senior Systems Engineer
Salary: $85,000 - 110,000 per year
Requirements:
Minimum of two years of experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environmentFamiliarity with ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Automate preferredRelevant professional IT certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, etc.Strong interpersonal skills including communication, active listening, and client supportProficient in diagnosing technical issues with the ability to multitask and adapt swiftlyAwareness of key IT services provided by the organizationUnderstanding of support tools and technologies used in IT service deliveryTyping proficiency for efficient entry of service request detailsSelf-driven and capable of thriving in a dynamic environmentAbility to assist in creating and maintaining Statement of Work (SOW) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Capacity to train junior technicians as neededReadiness to handle internal escalations and on-site support as required
Responsibilities:
Provide IT support for technical issues related to Microsofts core business applicationsSupport virtual environments using Microsoft Azure Cloud, Hyper-V, and VMwareDesign, implement, and provide assistance for Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, SQL Server, SharePoint, Office 365, and TeamsDevelop and execute system solutions for clients tailored to their needsImplement and manage disaster recovery strategiesProvide technical support at the network level for WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and system securitySet up and support remote access solutions utilizing VPN and Remote Desktop ServicesOffer server support, including management of Active Directory and Group PolicyDocument systems and offer consulting services to provide system evaluations and suggestionsMaintain communication with clients to update them on project progress and notify them of any changes or scheduled outagesWork collaboratively within a team and demonstrate effective communication skillsGain business insight related to client operations and the relevance of IT to their strategic goalsDocument internal procedures relating to job responsibilitiesEnter time and expenses in ConnectWise as they occurEngage with training materials and blueprints available through ConnectWise UniversityProcess project tickets and tasks in accordance with the guidance from the Service Delivery ManagerEnsure all work is logged into ConnectWise as service or project ticketsStay current with industry trends by reviewing relevant publications and online resources
