First Responder Liaison for 988 Crisis Response System. escription of services: • Facilitate Indiana’s 988-911 Interoperability Committee• Oversee communication plan and act as go between for 988 and 911 / first responders• Facilitate process to debrief scenarios or real-life examples to identify gaps in the system• Provide technical assistance and support for addressing problems that arise between law enforcement/first responders and crisis care continuum• Assist with development of relationships between providers in the crisis care continuum and law enforcement/first responders• Gather and organize data relevant to 988 crisis care continuum and justice system (including but not limited to JRAC, IDOC, IDOJ, PSAPs, etc)• Identify and develop training for 911 PSAPs, law enforcement officers, first responders, etc. as it pertains to 988 in Indiana• Develop and maintain operating manual, including but not limited to: data dictionary triage process, safety concerns, pros and cons of access points, as well as technology and access• Develop and implement integration plan for fire, law enforcement, and CIT, development of training and resources, and identify sustainable funding• Establish program evaluation plan, best practices, and data collection methods Desired qualifications: • Personal/Lived experience accessing crisis services for a mental health, substance use, and/or suicide-related crisis • Experience with any first responder profession (911, Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, etc)• Familiarity with o Law enforcement and 911 PSAP culture and standardso SAMHSA Behavioral Health Crisis Care Best Practiceso De-escalation techniques, motivational interviewing, and collaborative problem-solving skills • Demonstrates cultural and linguistic competence and understands impact of unique challenges for underrepresented groups accessing crisis services, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+ populations, and rural communities• Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams • Clear communication and presentation skills • Ability to handle stressful situations with poise and assertiveness • Comfort, willingness and ability to learn, adopt, and utilize new technology and software • Excellent project coordination skills, including multitasking and setting priorities on work assignments Job Types: Full-time, Contract Schedule: 8 hour shift Application Question(s): First responder experience, i.e. 911, Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, etc. / 2 Years Required. Program training development and presentation experience, preferably in a crisis intervention program / 2 Years Required. Experience developing, implementing and training program policies and procedures / 2 Years Required. Familiarity with Law enforcement and 911 PSAP culture and standards, SAMHSA Behavioral Health Crisis Care Best Practices / Nice to have. Experience with de-escalation techniques, motivational interviewing, and collaborative problem-solving skills / Nice to have.
