Customer Service Representative

Patient Financial Services Customer Service Representative (Remote) We are seeking experienced Customer Service Representatives with a background in healthcare billing or patient financial services to support a large healthcare organization. This role is responsible for handling inbound patient calls related to billing, payments, and account inquiries, while also supporting backend revenue cycle functions such as payment processing, account resolution, and documentation. This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity supporting a long-term initiative. Responsibilities: Respond to inbound calls from patients, families, and providers regarding billing, payments, and account questions. Provide clear and accurate explanations of patient balances, insurance coverage, and financial responsibility. Process payments, adjustments, refunds, and payment plans. Assist with claims, denials, and account resolution as needed. Reconcile account balances and ensure accurate documentation. Maintain detailed notes and documentation in systems. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve outcomes. Deliver excellent customer service while handling sensitive financial conversations. Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. 1+ year of experience in healthcare customer service, patient financial services, call center, billing, or collections. Strong communication and customer service skills. Basic understanding of healthcare billing, insurance, or patient accounts. Ability to handle high call volume in a structured environment. Comfortable working remotely and independently. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a healthcare call center or patient billing environment. Knowledge of insurance plans, deductibles, and co-insurance. Experience with systems such as NextGen, Cerner/Oracle, or other billing platforms. Bilingual is a plus.
