Job DescriptionJob Title:Mainframe Software EngineerOverview / SummaryResponsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and products to meet business and customer needs. Involved in the full software development lifecycle, including architecture design, coding, testing, and deployment. This role also requires collaboration across teams, Agile participation, and support of mainframe-based systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain software applications and productsParticipate in the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, coding, testing, and deploymentDevelop software using mainframe technologies including COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS DB/DC, and MQ SeriesApply knowledge of business processes and priorities to develop effective solutionsChampion Agile practices, participate in Agile ceremonies, and facilitate team collaborationDevelop high-quality minimum viable products through iterative processesPrioritize, groom, and maintain the product backlogBalance business priorities, user needs, and technical feasibility to manage risksMonitor, operate, and support mainframe-based applications across regionsManage and align interdependencies across multiple projectsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree10+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in developmentHands-on experience with IBM DB2, COBOL, and mainframe systemsExperience with mainframe tools such as SELCOPY, SORT, BMC DB2 Tools, Fault Analyzer, Application Performance Analyzer, REXX, File Manager, Endeavor, CA7, and debugging toolsExperience working in Agile environments and participating in Agile ceremoniesStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to manage complex initiatives, including integration, risks, and issuesWhat Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your FutureHTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
