Site Superintendents will be responsible for supervising and scheduling all concrete activities at local job sites, directing foreman, making sure jobs are being completed on time and on budget, and ensuring quality and safety requirements are being met. The descriptions below are representative of, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities for this position.Five Key Roles of the Site Superintendent:Supervising all aspects of the job site, including safety and quality standardsCommunicate with owners and owners representatives on a consistent basisResolve conflicts and disputes to minimize delays and claimsInstruct field staff on the processes, policies, and procedures essential to the projectPlan and supervise the field activities, such as the method of construction, manpower, material quantities, equipment and schedules.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Working closely with office staff on necessary production rates, construction methods, and schedulesParticipating in Level 10 meetings with local office staffContinually expanding knowledge and use of industry best practices and innovationSolving problems, as they arise, by using available knowledge and resourcesUnderstand and apply the Companys labor relations policiesCommunicating and upholding the Companys commitment to Integrity and Code of Ethics, as well as ensuring the same for the entire teamOther relevant tasks as assignedEducation, Experience & Qualifications:At least five (5) years in concrete or heavy civil constructionCreative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivationExcellent computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheetsExcellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individualsExcellent communication skills with the ability to work closely in a positive manner with team members.Travel:Travel is required for this position. Travel may include, but is not limited to, travel from office to various job sites. Fessler and Bowman will compensate for travel when applicable.Work Environment:As a Site Superintendent, you will be subject to various work environments.
