In this role, you will bring complex healthcare solutions to life by leading end-to-end implementations, optimizing operational performance across GMP environments, and ensuring seamless integration of systems, processes, and facilities for ambient and cold chain operations. You will translate customer and business needs into scalable, efficient, and compliant solutions that deliver measurable results, enabling operational excellence, strengthening customer partnerships, and supporting the growth and innovation of UPS Healthcare.ResponsibilitiesDrive the end-to-end engineering design and validation for new business and large-scale project implementations using innovative technology and efficient operational workflowsLead design and validation of facility layouts and operating plans for ambient, cold chain, and regulated product storage and distributionConduct data analysis, labor modeling, and financial validation to optimize operational efficiency and streamline distribution processLead discussions and calls with internal and external stakeholders to gather critical information, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecyclePerform post-implementation gap analyses with actionable items to drive continuous improvement and performance alignmentDrive adoption of AI-powered engineering practices, identifying opportunities to modernize workflows and enhance team productivityEnsure project success by managing timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and stakeholder communicationsSupport team development through mentoring, training, and contributing to process improvement initiativesUtilizes knowledge, technology investigation to provide the best return on investment for our clientsIncorporates healthcare regulatory and industry knowledge when implementing a new solutionQualificationsBachelor's degree or international equivalent in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or related fieldExperience in Industrial Engineering design and implementations of large-scale projects and technology deployments (5+ years’ industry experience preferred)Strong project management skills and communication, time management and organizational skillsProven knowledge of physical asset design, including the ability to identify issues, recommend specifications, and modify existing layouts to support operational needsProficient in analyzing complex workflows and processes; capable of applying data-driven methods to evaluate people, technology, and information systemsHands-on experience with warehouse and fulfillment technologies such as AMR, AGVs, ASRS, goods-to-person automation, conveyance systems, robotic arms, scanners, and put wallsExperience applying AI and machine learning–driven tools to continuously improve process design, workflow optimization, and operational performance within complex engineering and logistics environmentsIn-depth knowledge of healthcare logistics and distribution requirements, including cold chain management, controlled substances, and hazardous materials handlingFamiliarity with key financial concepts and calculations used in evaluating operational efficiency and project ROIAdvanced skills in MS Office (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint) & AutoCADExperience with warehouse management system (WMS) design and functionalityLean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plusAdditional InformationMust be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to self-relocate, not a remote position.Locations: Alpharetta, GA & Louisville, KYHours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5 pmJob Grade: 20GEmployee TypePermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.Other CriteriaUPS is an equal opportunity employer.
