In this role, you will coordinate and manage all incoming and outgoing shipments, including supplies, materials, equipment, and vehicles. You will also play a key role in maintaining an efficient logistics system, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with international trade requirements. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain an organized and efficient shipping and logistics system, including a database of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for related activities. Coordinate and manage schedules for incoming shipments across all Alpha Inc. receiving locations. Prepare, generate, and organize necessary shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, shipping orders, labels) ensuring materials are routed accurately and securely packaged. Record and report shipment data, including weight, charges, job codes, space availability, and discrepancies, for accurate record keeping. Determine appropriate shipping methods by evaluating procedures, routes, and rates. Act as the main contact with carrier representatives for arranging material shipments and deliveries. Develop and maintain a strong supplier network, including backup suppliers. Negotiate contracts and research trade and logistics requirements for new country entries to ensure compliance. Coordinate the delivery and routing of materials to departments and job sites, and submit shipment receipts to Accounting with proper coding. Assist with purchasing, renting, and leasing equipment and vehicles, as well as licensing, permitting, registering, titling, and managing equipment insurance and claims. Manage the E360 system, including adding, adjusting, and removing equipment as needed. Perform all duties independently, ensuring superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to execute additional tasks as assigned. Education and Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of shipping and logistics experience (preferred). Experience in the construction industry is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Skills and Qualifications: Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license. Must have a clean driving record. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. Experience with supplier negotiations and logistics management. Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience.
