For our client, we are seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer (android) to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $166,000 – $216,000 annuallyResponsibilities Lead technical ownership of the Gateway Android app for Mobile Cardiac Telemetry Define project scope and make architectural decisions to meet product needs Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive project success Conduct technical design discussions and code reviews to ensure high-quality outputs Establish robust engineering practices for safety-critical mobile applications Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth and learningQualifications 12+ years in mobile software development (or 8+ years with MS) including 3 years at Senior or Staff level Proficiency in Kotlin, Android Jetpack ecosystem, Hilt, Coroutines, and UI frameworks like Jetpack Compose Experience in architecting reliable, long-running mobile applications with optimized background execution and memory management Production experience with Bluetooth Low Energy on Android devices Strong understanding of API styles and messaging protocols including REST, GraphQL, and MQTT Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers across teamsBenefits Make a real-world impact by supporting devices used in patient care Engage in an engineering environment that prioritizes regulatory rigor Receive excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) matching plan, paid holidays, and PTOOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
