This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational financial discipline while managing a small accounting team and partnering with warehouse leadership.This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a high-volume distribution and inventory-driven environment and is ready to grow into a future Controller-level role. This role operates in a warehouse-adjacent office environment where safety, environmental, and operational considerations require consistent attention.This is an in-house role, working Monday - Friday 9am-6pm (Ronkonkoma, NY)Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting OperationsManage daily accounting functions including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, inventory accounting, and revenue recognitionSupport month-end and year-end close across multiple PCA entitiesEnsure timely bank reconciliations and balance sheet integrityMaintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting accuracyFinancial Planning & ReportingAssist with preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance reportingProvide operational financial reporting to warehouse and brand teamsSupport regulatory reporting and audit preparationResearch technical accounting issues for compliance with GAAP and international requirementsCompliance & ControlsManage and comply with Sales Tax filings (U.S. and International)Document and improve accounting processes and internal controlsSupport inventory analysis and margin reporting for PCA’s distribution operationsPartner with HR and Operations on payroll allocations, overtime tracking, and warehouse labor reportingTeam & Cross-Functional LeadershipSupervise accounting staff as assignedPartner with warehouse management to ensure accurate inventory and cost reportingCollaborate with TriNet, ADP, auditors, and external partners as neededSupervisory ResponsibilityOversight of assigned accounting staff and coordination with Warehouse Management teams on inventory reportingPhysical DemandsWhile performing duties, the employee may need to:Read, count, and write for documentation accuracyOperate necessary office equipmentMove materials up to 50 lbs. as needed for inventory verification(Consistent with warehouse-support roles within PCA operations.)QualificationsRequired4+ years' experience in accounting or finance leadership (Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or similar)Strong understanding of financial statements, inventory accounting, and detailed financial analysisExperience in beauty, cosmetics, wellness, retail, e-commerce, or consumer brands strongly preferredExperience with multi-entity accounting preferredAdvanced Excel skills and ERP experienceKnowledge of sales tax compliance (U.S. and international preferred)PreferredCPA or CPA-track.Experience in beauty, distribution, logistics, or e-commerce environments.Experience working with ADP, TriNet, or similar payroll/benefits platforms (common in PCA operations).Growth OpportunityThis role is designed as a pipeline to future Controller-level leadership within PCA.
