Sales Manager — North America
Sales Manager — North AmericaCredence ID — Remote, US (proximity to a major airline hub preferred)This is a hunter role. Not a relationship caretaker. Not a slide-deck presenter. Not someone waiting on marketing to feed them leads. This is a closer.Credence ID just closed a capital raise. We sell at the intersection of mobile biometrics and digital credential verification — to state and federal agencies, enterprises, stadiums, airports, and law enforcement. Two product lines drive this role: an established mobile biometric hardware portfolio that already wins deals, and a fast-growing mobile ID (mDL) verification stack that's pulling us into new markets every quarter. We're hiring one person to own North American sales. Reports directly to the CEO. Individual contributor. No team to manage, no excuses to hide behind. What You'll Actually DoYou'll carry a personal quota and own every deal end-to-end:• Prospect cold. Build pipeline from zero. Don't wait for inbound.• Run the full cycle — qualification, technical scoping, negotiation, contract.• Sell both product lines: biometric hardware into existing accounts, mDL verification into new ones.• Hit state, local, and federal agencies. Hit enterprise security and physical access buyers.• Work alongside our VARs, SIs, and channel partners to close indirect revenue.• Keep CRM clean and current. We forecast off your pipeline — the numbers need to be real.• Show up at the right trade shows and walk out with meetings booked, not business cards collected.Travel runs 35–50% domestic. If you live near a hub, that's easier on you. What We Care About (Read This Carefully)We optimize for closers. Not people who look like closers on paper. We care if:• You've built pipeline from zero before — and you can prove it• You can name the last five deals you closed and walk us through how• You read a buyer in the first 10 minutes and adjust• You ask for harder accounts when the easy ones are done• You've sold technical products without hiding behind the sales engineer• You came up through B2G or B2B tech and know how procurement actually worksIndustry experience helps. We can teach digital identity.Sales instinct, we can't teach. What This Role Is (and Isn't)• This is not a team lead role. You sell. We hire under you later if the numbers justify it.• This is not a salary-heavy plan. Base is competitive. Commission is generous and uncapped.• This is not a place to coast on a big-company brand. We're growth-stage, sharp-toothed, with a real product.• This is not a slow environment. You'll get a CEO who picks up the phone and a product roadmap that moves.Real responsibility. Real territory. NO ceiling. What We're Looking For• 3+ years of B2G or B2B technology sales as an individual contributor• A verifiable record of hitting personal quota — bring the numbers, not the stories• Experience selling into state/local government, federal, or commercial security buyers• Ability to translate technical product into business outcomes for non-technical buyers• Bias toward direct communication and short feedback loops• Bachelor's degree• AI native attitude and aptitudeHelpful but not required:• Biometrics, mDL, identity management, smart card, or physical access industry experience• Existing relationships with VARs and SIs in the security space• Trade show selling experience (IACP, ASIS, AAMVA, GovSec, ISC West, etc.)• Demonstrated history of high achievement, teamwork, and resilience gained through intensive extracurricular, military, or collegiate athletic experience.Culture Notes• Small team. Direct feedback. No politics.• The CEO is your manager — not a layer of management.• We check references for character, not just quota attainment.• We don't tolerate sandbagging the forecast.• We move fast — but reliability with the customer matters more than speed. No AI-written replies. We can tell.If you apply, write like a human. Tell us what you've actually closed, what you've learned the hard way, and why this territory matters to you.
