Certified Surgical Technologist

Location: Williamsburg, VA . Field-based role serving hospitals and surgery centers in the Williamsburg area (and surrounding cities).About The RoleMedworks is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our surgical support team serving hospitals and surgery centers throughout the Williamsburg area. In this mobile, hands-on role, you'll travel between client sites to support surgical teams and operate specialty surgical equipment during procedures.You'll play a critical role in the operating room—helping ensure each case proceeds safely, efficiently, and smoothly. From preparing sterile instruments to supporting surgical teams and operating Medworks equipment, your work directly contributes to positive patient outcomes.What You'll DoPrepare operating rooms by setting up sterile instruments, surgical equipment, and suppliesAnticipate surgeon needs during procedures and pass instruments efficientlyMaintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control standardsOperate and monitor Medworks rental lasers and other specialty surgical equipmentCommunicate clearly with surgical teams and support client preferencesAssist with post-procedure clean-up, restocking, and operational readinessComplete required documentation and accurately track equipment usageRequired QualificationsWhat We're Looking ForActive Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA or an equivalent accredited organizationAbility to work in a fast-paced, clinical environmentSkills & AttributesStrong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control standardsStamina and time management skills for dynamic surgical schedulesCritical thinking and sound decision-making under pressureExcellent communication, organization, and teamwork skillsExperiencePrior surgical technologist experience preferredExperience in urology, gynecology, or general surgery is a plusSchedule & TravelPrimarily Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional early starts or extended days based on case volumeOccasional on-call rotation as neededPeriodic travel outside the local area may be required to support business needsAbout MedworksMedworks is a surgical equipment support and services provider specializing in urology, gynecology, and general surgery.
