Mercy Hospital is recruiting an emergency medicine physician (Family Medicine trained are welcome) for two critical‑access hospitals located outside of Springfield in Aurora and Cassville, Missouri.
Mercy Aurora and Cassville:
25‑bed, critical access hospital
Annual ED volume of 11,000‑13,000 patients
Easy transfers (ground and air) to Mercy Hospital - Springfield, an 886‑bed level I trauma center and tertiary catchment hospital for a four‑state area
Hospitalists available 24‑hours per day for admissions
No hospitalist work or inpatient rounding required
MRI and CT available
Basic emergency procedures are available including Glidescope and Ultrasound
No trauma designation
Less than 2 patients per hour
EPIC EMR across Mercy

Schedule completed three months in advance for a great work/life balance
12‑hour shifts, 12 shifts per month—flexible and block scheduling available
$50,000 signing bonus plus paid relocation
Guaranteed hours/shifts and $205‑$226/hour
Immediate parity and equal rotation and scheduling among the group
Supportive physician mentors, partners, and friends – group is stable
NP/PA coverage each day
