Responsibilities
Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals and solutions that align with customer needs.
Collaborate with Siemens Sales to develop offers for industrial, construction, and utility markets.
Review customer specifications, commercial and technical documents, and product requirements.
Define preliminary scope of work for complete solutions that meet customer specifications.
Configure electrical products using Siemens tools and collaborate with Business Unit engineers to generate integrated technical solutions.
Create 2-D layout drawings (and 3-D where required) to illustrate proposed solutions.
Assemble RFQ packages for third-party products and work closely with Procurement to secure quotations.
Evaluate received quotations and provide technical recommendations for design and vendor selection.
Develop cost model for quotations and obtain senior management approvals.
Prepare customer-facing proposal packages covering the full scope of work.
Engage in customer discussions to support Business Development and Sales teams.
Collaborate with the PMO team to ensure smooth handover from Bid Phase to Project Execution when a project is awarded.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
5+ years engineering experience in an EPC, manufacturing, utility, or industrial corporate environment (advanced degree may substitute for 2 years of experience).
Experience with medium-voltage electrical distribution products and power delivery systems.
Knowledge of relay P&C schemes, schematics, and communication network diagrams.
Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for power distribution applications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and product configuration/pricing applications.
Experience with electrical and 2-D layout drawing tools such as AutoCAD and Visio.
Travel required: less than 10%.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred.
Strong collaboration, leadership, and decision-making skills in a team environment.
Ability to analyze customer technical documentation and apply suitable Siemens product offerings.
Basic financial knowledge for business planning and lifecycle management.
Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
Skill in identifying market trends and partnering with Marketing and Technology to address gaps.
Experience integrating medium-voltage electrical distribution into E-houses and buildings.
Knowledge of IBC, NEC, and NFPA codes for E-houses and buildings.
Experience with 3-D layout tools such as AutoCAD Revit.
Proficiency in designing and applying electrical distribution products within E-houses and buildings.
PE or PMP certification is a plus.
Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce.com.
Benefits and Compensation
Siemens offers a comprehensive benefits program that includes health, wellness, and retirement plans. Pay range is $73,500 – $126,000 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. Actual wage may vary based on budget and candidate experience, skills, and geographic location.
