Experience in any social service field is also acceptable. At least one year of experience in caregiving is preferred. Position Requirements: Candidates… Must be able to pass a fingerprinting/criminal background check. Must have a clean driving record and a personal vehicle. Must either have or be willing to become CPR/First Aid certified. Must have or get a clear TB test result. Position Summary We are looking for creative, fun, and energetic candidates to provide one-on-one support as a Personal Attendant primarily with one of our clients in Walnut Creek. It is possible however, that on occasion they will receive shifts with other various individual clients. Job Responsibilities Include: Providing clients with support, company, and comfort. Providing constant and appropriate supervision while on duty. Engaging clients in suitable activities, such as having conversations, playing games, or taking walks. Transporting and accompanying clients to day programs, medical appointments, community events, etc. Providing mobility support. Assisting clients with their self-administration of medications, including monitoring and documenting their intake, while also ensuring that medications are handled and stored correctly. Reporting changes in the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of clients to lead staff and documenting it in the shift notes. Providing support with personal hygiene, including brushing teeth, bathroom visits, bathing, and dressing. Performing basic housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. Maintaining a hygienic, tidy, and safe environment. Being a role model in adult behavior and effectively setting limits. Assisting clients with independent living goals. Assisting clients with household finances, bills, and payments, as well as running errands.
