Long term temp. $28.00/Located in Alvin, TX The Quality Document Specialist is a position within Quality Assurance. This position reports to the Corporate Quality Manager and assists the Sr. Document Control Specialist, and their customers, in the implementation, maintenance, and on-going development of the Quality Management System (QMS) documents. The Quality Document Specialist will maintain manuals, procedures, and forms as well as, format, edit, and proof controlled documents. This position maintains electronic document storage, change tracking, hard copy retention, and coordination of records. These records include procedures, forms, manuals, drawings, District job packages, document control approvals, and Quality Assurance program activities.This position also serves as an administrative point-of-contact for assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, communication of changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.Essential Job FunctionsMaintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety and quality standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concernAdheres to and is a champion of the company's Core ValuesMaintains an accurate Quality Management System document index, with current revision level, for all controlled documents in the company's QMS SystemProvides QMS Service Line support for technical procedures, training procedures and written procedures for clientsManages controlled documents and maintains document integrity including record control, record destruction, and necessary follow-up for retrievalManages document changes, edits, formatting, proofing, and revision controls, in accordance with written proceduresMaintains data inputs, outputs, processes, security, and data maintenance, including, researching, and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws and recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirementsEnsures the administration of QMS systems and integrity of Quality data within the systems.Follows established procedures for updating, validating, and correcting documents and data.Provides QMS technical support during third-party (registrar) audits and customer assessments at the corporate officeCommunicates and partners with the Technical Authorities on Quality processes, clean data, and recommends solutions for continued process and procedural improvementsOther duties as assignedJob QualificationsFluency and mastery with Microsoft Word (advanced formatting, table creation, and styling, etc.)Fluency and mastery with Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, regression analysis, etc.)Proficiency with other Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, OneNote, SharePoint etc.)Experience using ERP software preferredExperience in an enterprise-wide Quality Information Management System requiredExperience in a professional writing setting requiredExcellent communications skills and can effectively explain complex processesDemonstrated ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks and able to react to spontaneous changes in prioritiesExperience with prioritizing, working independently and consistently providing output to validate weekly work assignmentsHighly developed organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to think analytically
