Teacher of the Deaf in Franklin, TN

An opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education in Franklin, TN. This full-time, on-site contract position supports the educational needs of students within the local public school system, with assignments and caseloads to be determined. The role begins as soon as possible and continues through May 22, 2026.Key Responsibilities:Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.Facilitate communication between students, families, and school personnel.Maintain compliance with state and district educational standards for DHH services.Qualifications:Valid Tennessee teaching license with a Deaf / Hard of Hearing endorsement.Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students; ranging from entry-level to seasoned educators.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to adapt instruction methods to meet diverse student needs.Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments.Position Details:Location: Franklin, TNSchedule: Full-time, on-siteContract Duration: ASAP through May 22, 2026Number of schools assigned: To be determinedStudent Age Group: To be confirmed based on assignmentThis role offers a rewarding chance to make a significant impact in the lives of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
