*Front Desk Receptionist

OverviewThe Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for families, visitors, and staff at In The Zone Child Care Services and is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the child care program through professional customer service, communication, attendance tracking, participant sign-in/sign-out procedures, administrative support, payment processing, and general office organization. This position requires strong organizational and multitasking skills, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to maintain a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment while following all company policies and procedures.This is a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on program needs and performance.Role And ResponsibilitiesUnderstands and demonstrates attendance and punctuality are vital.Ensure that all participants in the child care programs leave the site only with authorized persons and are signed in and out accurately.Ensure roll call is taken, accurate and head count is accurate throughout the day.Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly mannerWelcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner, and answer any questions visitors haveMaintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all timesOperate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a fax machine, a copy machine, and a computerKeep detailed and accurate records of visitor requests and of calls receivedReceive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mailTake inventory of supplies and restock as neededMaintain the general office filing systemBe familiar with emergency procedures and follow them.Accept and properly receipt payments made to In The ZoneAnswer any and all questions regarding any information that pertains to In The Zone ProgramsKnow and follow all In The Zone Policies and Procedures.The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, other agencies, participants, teachers, community leaders, and the general public.Be able to perform any other tasks that would be related to the operation of In The Zone.Qualifications And Education RequirementsHigh School diploma, GED, or higherAbility to adapt to the center's needs and hourCurrent child/adult CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtainReliable transportation to and from workMust be eligible and pass MSDH Background CheckMust be able to type over twenty words per minute.Must be familiar with Microsoft Office programs.
