The Role
Knox Systems is a rapidly growing FedRAMP-as-a-Service startup that exceeded revenue
forecasts by 50% this year and is positioned for aggressive expansion. We're building a high-performing team where exceptional talent drives our success.
We're seeking an outstanding Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations with a
focus on revenue accounting. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise in
contract analysis, COGS calculation, and revenue recognition under ASC 606. You'll build
scalable processes that support timely, accurate, and audit-ready reporting as we scale.
What You'll Do
Lead month-end close and reporting for revenue-related accounts, ensuring accuracy
and timeliness across a significant portion of our accounting operations
Analyze and interpret new accounting pronouncements, assess applicability, and
prepare technical accounting memos for complex transactions
Review and mentor accounting team members' work, elevating technical quality across
the department
Design and implement best-in-class processes for accounting and financial operations in
collaboration with internal stakeholders
Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering) to
ensure proper revenue recognition and financial controls
Drive special projects including financial forecasting, ERP implementation, revenue
operations optimization, and internal control development
What You Bring
CPA preferred; Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting
and/or high-growth tech company experience
Deep knowledge of ASC 606 (revenue recognition) and ASC 350-40 (internal-use
software); ability to apply guidance to complex SaaS arrangements
Proven ability to manage high transaction volumes and complex data environments
Strong systems expertise with ERP platforms (NetSuite preferred), revenue
recognition tools, and the ability to navigate across multiple systems
Tech-forward mindset with experience leveraging AI and emerging technologies to build
scalable operations
Roll-up-your-sleeves attitude with exceptional attention to detail, analytical rigor, and
organizational skills
Strong leadership presence with excellent problem-solving and cross-functional
communication skills

Compensation Range: $150K - $200K
