Equipment MechanicAll Locations7509 Grier Road, Charlotte, North CarolinaSalary Type: Not ApplicablePosition Type: Full-Time/RegularThe Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for all aspects of troubleshooting, repair and maintenance service of a wide range of equipment that is needed to perform all landscape functions, such as all landscaping and construction equipment with 4-cycle engines, 2-cycle engines, other small engines and automotivesProductionTroubleshoot equipment accurately and repair breakdowns quickly to maintain operating efficiency.Proven abilities in a wide range of technical skills in repairing automobilesProven abilities in a wide range of technical skills in repairing all landscaping and construction equipment with 4-cycle engines, 2-cycle engines, and other small enginesIncluding but not limited to: Commercial Mowers, Blowers, String Trimmers, Edgers, Hedge Trimmers, Tractors, & Skid SteersPerform oil changes, air filter changes, belt replacements and inspect all safety devices of equipment.Perform off site repairsPick up of parts from vendorsAssist in maintaining service records for all equipmentMaintain and organize parts as neededEnsure that all parts go through company inventory.Maintain Shop area, yard, and buildingCommunicate with managers internally as needed in order to insure crews have proper equipment to perform task.Insure OSHA and other regulations are followed for all equipmentAssist Company in seasonal services provided to customers.Example: Snow RemovalRequired SkillsMust have a high school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in related field.Must have a valid NC Driver's license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)Must submit to a reference and criminal background check.Must have good communication skillsMust comply with Bland Landscaping Company, Inc. policies and proceduresMust practice safety with chemicals and all equipmentMust wear company provided uniforms and use personal protective equipment as neededMust be able to pass a Criminal Background checkPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.Ability to stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time.Capable of working with heavy machinery in tight or challenging spaces.Compensation and Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off401k plan options.Note:As we continue to grow as a company, all positions have significant opportunities for advancement.
