Job DescriptionAs a Lead System Engineer, here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a critical program. You will report directly to your manager, and you'll work out of Torrance on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of the program. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, coordinating project activities, and ensuring the timely and successful completion of deliverables. Your expertise in project management and your ability to drive results will be crucial in meeting the program's goals and objectives. Help build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying, and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation Lead RFI/RFP responses including ownership of financial estimates, SOW and spec compliance matrices, and technical volume Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery Provide technical guidance and support to project team members Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholdersQualificationsYOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in the aerospace industry Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget Strong leadership and project management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Experience in risk management and problem-solving Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies Technical expertise in the relevant engineering disciplineWE VALUE Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements Passion for innovation and continuous learning Master’s degree in engineering or related field Experience in the aerospace industry Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies Ability to drive results and meet challenging goalsTHE BUSINESS UNITAdvanced process control software and outcome-based solutions and enterprise performance management.
