We pair motivated tutors with students who need support, creating meaningful one-on-one and small group learning experiences.Role OverviewWe're looking for dedicated and enthusiastic peer tutors for the upcoming semester. As a tutor, you'll play a hands-on role in helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.We have immediate needs for tutors in economics, business, and engineering.ResponsibilitiesMeet one-on-one or in small groups with students for tutoring sessionsCommunicate directly with students to schedule meeting times and locationsSubmit monthly hours at the end of each monthSubmit session reflections within 24 hours of each session using our provided formMaintain frequent communication with the Tierney Education team regarding student progressQualificationsAchieved an A or A− in the course(s) you wish to tutorMinimum 5 hours of availability per weekStrong communication skills and the ability to connect with studentsAbility to complete tasks in a timely mannerResponsive communication with Tierney Education administration via text and/or emailPreferredPrior experience in tutoring or peer mentoringKnowledge of research-based teaching methodologiesAbility to conduct sessions virtuallyCompensation & TrainingStarting at $30 per hour-long tutoring sessionAll tutors complete a paid, 90-minute learning science trainingComprehensive tutoring handbook providedInterested in a Professional Tutor role?
