JOB TITLE: Technical Program Manager - HardwareLOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite)PAY RANGE: $65 - $75/hr.DURATION: 6 MonthsTOP 3 SKILLS:5+ years of experience in Hardware Program Management or Engineering Management leading cross-functional HW/SW integration programs during product development phasesBachelor s degree in an Engineering discipline with proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and Gantt chartsExperience working with contract manufacturers (CMs) along with strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skillsJob Description:The Advanced Hardware Engineering team is responsible for delivering all autonomous hardware, infotainment electronic control units, and electrical components for future fleet of self-driving vehicles. We are looking for a technical program manager to support our hardware development effort. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with our engineering leaders across software, hardware, vehicle engineering, and product to help us achieve our strategic and tactical milestones. You will work with engineering teams to develop project schedules, identify milestones, flag risks, estimate budgets, and clearly communicate ongoing progress.As with any startup, we move fast here, and many candidates will be asked from time to time to wear many hats. Additionally, if you are an expert at herding cats and influencing without formal authority, then this role was made for you!In this role, you will:Define tasks, resources, and timelines in collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure successful program delivery that meet company s milestonesDevelop a program roadmap to effectively communicate deliverables to the stakeholders, and hold them accountableProactively identify and mitigate risks in the program scheduleSet an agenda for key decisions to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and minimize risksEstablish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishmentsWork with engineers and finance teams to define and track resource requirements, including headcount and budgetSupport key decisions, working cross-functionally across engineering, finance, and strategy to reach the right conclusionsQualifications:5+ years of experience in HW Program Management or Engineering Management work - managing cross-functional teams on HW/SW integration in the development phaseBS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experienceProficient in tools required to manage complex projects (i.e., JIRA, Gantt charts)Prior experience working with contract manufacturers (CMs)Self-motivated and proactive problem-solverAn ability to keep the big picture in focus and to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audienceBonus Qualifications:Directly managed 2+ program development cycles for a System with HW and SW integration involvedExperience in the automotive industry and camera developmentMS degree in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringStrong references that highlight your ability to build strong working relationships with senior leaders and engineers across functions and departmentsBENEFITS SUMMARY: Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
