Systems Engineer

Job Description Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead and manage the full engineering lifecycle for complex products that integrate both electrical and mechanical components. This role requires strong ownership across requirements definition, system architecture, detailed design, and verification & validation.The ideal candidate has a structured systems engineering mindset, deep experience working within the V-model, and strong proficiency in requirements management—particularly using Jama Connect. This is a high-impact role requiring strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to ensure traceability and alignment throughout the engineering process.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full engineering lifecycle from requirements definition through system validationLead requirements development, decomposition, and traceability across system, subsystem, and component levelsDevelop and maintain system architectures (functional, logical, and physical)Ensure alignment between system architecture and engineering requirementsDefine and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and cross-team interfacesSupport detailed system and subsystem design, ensuring linkage back to requirementsIdentify and resolve interface mismatches and specification conflictsConduct and support DFMEA activities to assess and mitigate technical riskDefine verification strategies and ensure all requirements are testable and validatedReview and approve verification and validation plans and test proceduresEnsure traceability between requirements, test cases, and test resultsSupport integration and system-level testing across multiple subsystemsTrack and report key performance metrics throughout the engineering lifecycleCollaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teamsTop Required SkillsProven experience managing the full engineering process for complex systems involving both electrical and mechanical componentsStrong experience using Jama Connect for requirements tracking and managementDeep understanding of systems engineering processes, including the V-model lifecycleRequired QualificationsDemonstrated experience leading systems engineering efforts across full product lifecycleExperience with complex electromechanical systemsStrong background in requirements management, traceability, and verificationExperience developing and managing system architecturesProficiency with interface definition and management (ICDs)Experience with DFMEA and risk assessment methodologiesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsCompany DescriptionPutting people at the forefront is our priority at Technical Talent Group.
